Position Title: FDSV Support Worker - Male Location: Halls Creek - Yura Yungi Aboriginal Medical Service Business Unit: FDSV Support Employment Type: 2x Fulltime
Position Summary
The FDSV Support Worker provides culturally secure, trauma‑informed support to Aboriginal individuals and families affected by Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence. The role focuses on early intervention, community education and strengthening community safety by challenging harmful attitudes and promoting healing and wellbeing.
Working within a holistic and relational framework, the Support Worker engages with men and families, provides advocacy, counselling, and therapeutic support, and connects clients to appropriate services. The role also contributes to reducing the impacts of violence, increasing resilience, and supporting coordinated responses across agencies.
This position is based at Yura Yungi Medical Service in Halls Creek and includes travel to remote communities by light aircraft, 2WD or 4WD vehicles.
