We work with individuals, families and the wider community to increase awareness and understanding of:

  • What family and domestic violence is and how it impacts lives
  • Drivers of violence within our community
  • The right to respect, safety and support
  • Where to access help and what services are available
  • How to build and sustain respectful relationships
  • The importance of trust and collaboration between service providers and community
  • The role of physical health, mental wellbeing and self-care in recovery

Our Approach

Our team includes Aboriginal workers and Elders who ensure cultural knowledge, language, and traditions are respected in every step of the support process

The Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Program is built around five key pillars:

  1. Early Intervention
We provide education and awareness to help community members understand the causes of domestic violence, their human rights, and when and how to seek support.
  2. Crisis Response
We support individuals and families in immediate need by acting as advocates and conduits to essential services. We assist with emergency travel, short-term accommodation and basic needs.
  3. Safety Planning
Through culturally safe, one-on-one interviews and careful planning, we help clients develop individual safety plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
  4. Treatment
We walk alongside clients to connect them with physical, emotional, and social wellbeing services that reflect their cultural and personal needs.
  5. Recovery and Reintegration
We encourage participation in community-based activities, capacity building programs and cultural healing initiatives that promote long-term recovery, resilience and reconnection.
