Yura Yungi Medical Service (YYMS) delivers a wide range of culturally safe health and wellbeing services to support the Halls Creek community and surrounding areas. We work in partnership with local families, Elders and visiting specialists to provide care that is community-led, trusted and accessible.
Our services are designed to meet the diverse needs of our people, across all stages of life, and reflect a commitment to both prevention and treatment. Whether it's a health check, support for chronic conditions, social and emotional wellbeing, or help navigating the health system, our team is here to support you.
What We Offer
At YYMS, we deliver services across the following key areas:
- Clinical Services: Everyday healthcare delivered by our trusted team of Aboriginal Health Practitioners, nurses and doctors, with a focus on prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
- Visiting Specialist Services: A range of health specialists fly in to deliver advanced care so clients don’t have to leave town for important treatments.
- Population Health: Health promotion and prevention programs addressing chronic disease, rheumatic heart disease, sexual health, smoking, and more.
- Social and Emotional Wellbeing: Counselling, healing activities, and support programs for individuals, families, men, women and young people.
- Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Support: A culturally safe and confidential program providing practical and emotional support for those experiencing violence.
- NDIS and Aged Care Supports: Coordination and services for clients living with disability or needing elder care assistance.
