Position Overview

The IT & Business Services Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and security of YYMS's digital systems while coordinating essential business services. This position is responsible for managing the organisation's IT infrastructure, delivering technical support, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards. The role also encompasses asset management through meticulous record-keeping and effective liaison with contractors, ultimately contributing to the efficient delivery of culturally responsive healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support organisational hardware, software, and network systems for reliable daily operations.
  • Provide timely technical support to staff across all sites and ensure compliance for patient management systems.
  • Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect data privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee asset management processes, including maintaining accurate registers and coordinating repairs.
  • Participate in quality management systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver IT training programs, focusing on culturally appropriate digital literacy.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT support and business administration, with a commitment to cultural safety and responsiveness. We are looking for individuals who can work independently yet collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating initiative and effective problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.

  • Certificate IV in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT support or business administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with health IT systems.
  • Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel to remote communities as required.

Salary & Benefits

The position offers a salary of $85,000 - $95,000 depending on qualifications plus superannuation, along with generous leave benefits and annual airfare. Employees can also access salary packaging options up to $30,000 per annum.
